4 Jan Oziastakes 40 doz. shirts to Troy, brings back 50 doz .
8 Jan Henry George has cut down the north orchard and is now
ditching the road where the fountain is.
10 Jan Finish up the order of shirts.
15 Feb Finish off 50 doz. shirts this week. Ozias takes them
in to Troy and brings home "48 doz. shirts at $1.25
per doz . "
17 Jan "Learned that colored Alice moved to the 2d Order yes-
terday to help so Sarah Ann^can teach school next
summer . " ^^^
26 Jan Put up the engine in the new wash house that we had in
the old one for shirt works so we will not have to stop
work when the water fails as Henry is not willing we
should use the big engine."
27 Jan Ozias goes to Albany for coal to run the little engine,
Henry not being willing we should use any of the family
coal. "
13 Mar Sister Annie 's^f Case) birthday "and we have sort of a
holiday. Deborah is here from the 2d Fam,ily and
Sister Mary from the CF."
21 Mar George^Lomas died last night "of heart disease."
24 Mar Funeral of George^Lomas . "Was largely attended by
outsiders . "
28 Mar "Finish up the order of shirts and we have a little
t/ime to work on our mats. Eva'^is making one on the
machine and Sister Annie and I are knitting some."
31 Mar Sister^Annie has gone to the sick room with quinsy
sore throat.
5 Apr Her throat "breaks" and she begins to feel better.
13 Apr Sister Annie comes back to the house to sleep.
"Mill the sheets and pillowcases."
24 Apr "Elder Daniel and Eldress Ann came up from Lebanon.
Hope they will help us out of our deacon trouble."
27 Apr "Washed sheets and pillow cases and I made 6 barrels
of soap." ,
15 May In afternoon had funeral of Aurelia White. Have to
walk as Ozias has taken Canterbury visitors to the
depot. He got back in time to bring three of us
home .
19 May "Go to CF to meeting. Henry interrupted Eldress
Rosetta when she was speaking, otherwise had a very
good meeting. No singing meeting."
24 June "I made 6 barrels of soap."
1 July Girls' school starts, Sarah Ann Neal the teacher.
4 July Ellen Charters came back yesterday bag & baggage.
7 July Charlie Quintal ran away.
25 July (Th) Angel ine Turner comes from the CF to get some of
her things. She has been visiting there since Mon.
