16 Oct Prepare citron and pick high bush cranberries.
17 Oct "Do up citron sauce."
18 Oct Make citron pickles, get cranberries off stems.
19 Oct IG to Albany with fowls, ducks, canned goods..."
20 Oct IG made soap and chaw chaw to sell.
22 Nov "IG taking care of young trees, grapevines and having
the manure taken out of the hen houses and filing grain
of different kinds, sand, gravel, etc. for winter."
25 Nov Two candidates came during this week.
26 Nov James*Bussell died at NP because of a fall. Was over 80
and nearly blind.
Three candidates joined within 10 days and now gives
them 8 brethren.
6 Dec Cornelia*French came to see her mother who is feeble and
not expected to recover.
25 Dec Christmas. "Have meeting at home. Go to NF to sing.
Clarissavhad to give up, got the shingles."
Had oysters for dinner and cranberries. Fruit cake for
supper, peaches for breakfast, candy, peanuts & oranges.

1 Jan Ducks for dinner with cranberry and currant jelly. For
supper New Year's cakes.
8 Jan Ernest v^Larkin) brought there sick with typhoid fever by
the doctor from where he lived (Was teaching in Guil-
derland) as they could not take care of him.
13 Jan Frank/Larkin came (from Burnt Hills) to take care of
Ernest.
19 Jan OB to Troy and got 40 doz. shirts. Home just after din-
ner and took sisters to Stanton Buckingham's funeral.
22 Jan IG made soap and butter and applesauce and prepared for
butchering.
23 Jan Butchered two oxen and 3 pigs and IG takes charge with
help from Eva, Susie and Ella.
1 Feb Ernest^better. Frank went home.
8 Feb Frank^vtook Ernest to his home.
25 Mar Easter. Have 2 eggs each, cake for dinner. Over 14
doz. eggs laid today. Go to CF to meeting, to WF to
sing. nTc (Isabella Graves), the writer of this journal
is not only a trustee of the family, but also in charge
of poultry and each spring hatches her chicks. Thus
the sales of poultry and number of eggs laid are fre-
quently mentionedT]

17 Apr Attend Burdett 's (Hanks) funeral. ?>7*-(^
John Jump came to join and brought his cow. Had been
here for information before.
23 May Mary^French breathed her last about 3:30. 7 25 May Eldress Rosetta went to Albany to let Mary's^brother
and others know of her death and invite them to the
funeral. "Very good funeral" at 3 p.m. No one from
outside but David.
