31 Jan OB digs the grave. Funeral at 2 pmf good attendance.
6 Feb OB and Elder Alexander go to Capitol to see legislators
because they are going to divide the Town of Watervliet.
13 Feb Henry Hollister came to bid farewell and get love. He
is going to Florida with Andrew Barrett to live. Elder
Isaac v/(Anstatt) and Benjamin\^re going also.
4 Mar Elders/Isaac home from Florida. %**&*-<
14 Mar James "a winter pretender" gone.
15 Mar "John Jump gone. His cow died."
30 Apr Sister Annie goes to NF to see about school - who is
going to teach.
1 May School for girls starts. Ella Winship is to teach and
'Susie to help.
15 May Eldress Loisa Green of Harvard comes on a visit. Both
the Sh irT. cfef ^n-dP^Ha rvar d families have moved to Church
Family (at Lebanon or has each colony consolidated into
its CF ?) .
24 June "All the young folks leave off nets and caps except to
meeting. "
4 July "Ministry all here tcx help sisters take the business of
the family - EldressvRosetta and IG^ill be deaconesses,
Eva^book keeper." ,
6 July "William SEbast to Albany to get pipes and materials to
set up a water closet and bath in the house."
20 July Lizzie Mordin goes to the world. (Ttw^U+J m^t sy^^Ls
23 July Picking, stringing, cutting and canning beans. Elder
Josiah comes from CF and helps cut.
23 Aug Still working on beans, also pears, tomatoes and corn.
"Keep right on doing just as fast as we can. The
things grow faster than we can take care of them."
26 Aug Go right on with the tomatoes and string beans, peel
pears r husk cape gooseberries, gather lima beans,
melons and pears.
27 Aug OB*' said he cannot solder the cans. Have to get someone
else.
28 Aug (Wed) IG canning, churning, corn cutting for drying; care
of ducks and chickens.
29 Aug IG goes to Albany
30 Aug Chores, ironing, canning.
31 Aug (Sat) Go right on to finish the week's work.
1 Sept (Sun) Nancy Wicks' funeral at WF at 9:30 am. Good funeral.
Singing meeting in afternoon at WF.
9 Sept Pears to take care of, corn to dry, tomatoes to can,
washing & ironing to be done, beans to gather and
shell, melons & grapes to take care of, red plums rip-
ening ready for us.
15 Oct (Tue) "IG came home from her visit. Found her mother more
comfortable than expected, little boy doing nice, was
