15 Aug Rachel & Josephine (Graves) to Albany to meet Mother who is coming
for a visit.
18 Aug A company of us went with Mother down through Loudonville for a ride.
21 Aug Bad hail storm. Broke over 300 panes of glass and nearly ruined our
crops.
22 Aug Mother^returned home.
24 Aug Tire Ministry here and informed us of what a critical condition Eldress
Rosetta was in. (She lived to 1915.) /
27 Aug About 11 a.m. two doctors came to perform an operation on Eldress Rosetta,
Eldress Harriet (Bui lard) and Elder Giles (Avery) of Ministry both here.
28 Aug Canned tomatoes and pears.
29 Aug Closing school exercises in the meeting room.
(Nothing said further about Rosettaa's operation*)
1 Sept Rachel and myself start on a journey east by way of NYC. Got home 22nd.
10 Sept A candidate here.
12 Sept Candidate gone.
15 Sept Eldress^Rosetta (first mention of her since operation) and Mr (Mary
French) went to Albany.
18 Sept Eva-'and Frances go to Albany with Eldress Harriet and to take Katie away.
26 Sept I'make 7 barrels of soap.
27 Sept A woman here to see about coming here to live.
4 Get Elder Chauncy took a boy about 12 years old named John Springer.
12 Get EIdress^ Rosetta no better.
31 Get El dress*Rosetta not able to go to CF to see Ministry.
3 Nov Eldress Harriet came here in a.m. and around noon she and Eldress Rosetta
went to Albany.
6 Nov E I der^Ga Len bought 60 sheep.

12 Nov Eldress Harriet and E/lder^Giles here all day. Elder Giles is doing
carpentry in the bathroom.
13 Nov Eldress Rosetta /is no better.
14 Nov "I help Eldress Rosetta put up stovepipes in her shop and gown shop."
17 Nov (Men) Clarissa (Shoefelt ?) and Eldress Rosetta started forNYC, CS having
a little visit and Eldress Rosetta to be doctored.
22 Nov Clarissa returned. She, Lena, Josephine & Maggie killed and dressed
13 turkeys.
25 Nov Got 12 spring beds. C.S. has a very bad cold. Rachel / gives her a bath
and keeps her in the sickroom.
1 Dec Two aunts and 2 uncles of Harriet's here to dinner.
3 Dec Get Henry George to come from CFyand pu I I teeth - 3 for Addie, 3 for
Josie, 2 for Maggie, 1 for Frances and 6 for myself.
19 Dec Agnes and Lottie came from WF to learn to make mol^sseatandy.
24 Dec "All hands preparing for Christmas. It is pretty lively in the wigwam."
25 Dec "We had a most beautiful meeting and a very happy day, every way, only
we have not our Eldress with us."

15 Jan Her funeral. We are weaving mats (from rags) has fast as possible.
21 Jan I ^ went to the WF to show them how to knit hoods.
27 Jan A man comes "to tune the instruments."
30 Jan The tuner gets done and goes home; charges us $25.

11 Feb Ozias and I went down to meet EIdress^Rosetta. Got her home by dinner
time (from West Albany - it had been so stormy the day before that she
stayed there overnight). It was -5.
