28 July My motherland step-father made a visit.
1 Aug Elder^Galen at supper table fell over in his chair and died in about
10 minutes after we sent for the doctor. Ozias went to Albany and
phoned the Ministry and wired his sons.

10 Jan Eldress0 Rosetta runs engine in shop and in between runs sewing machine.
25 Jan Ozias brings home a marble topped bureau for the sisters front room.
2 Feb E Idress^Rosetta, Rachel and Eva went down the toboggan.

26 Feb RacheKhad her last 9 teeth pulled, Ella had 2. Henry George did it.
10 Mar Lovely day. Feels like spring. Sister Annie has severe case of quinzy
sore throat along about this time.

13 Mar The storm is terrible. It is drifting so badly that the sisters do not
try to go from one building to another. All stay where they are It
is Sister Annie's birthday. (IT IS ALSO BLIZZARD OF 1888.)
14 Mar The storm is better. Have power. Breaking roads.

21 Apr Eldress^Rosetta walks to CF and back.
2 May Ellen Charter went to NYC to have her throat doctored. Eva and IG
wallpaper various rooms.
24 June Go to Meeting House for first time this season. Havdnew arrangement -
have the benches in the middle of the floor and march around them and
then sit down to speak and sing.
10 July Rachel went to Albany to meet her daughter.
