5 Apr Ministry Sisters Elder Sarah Berger and Eldress Catherine Allen returned to Mt. Lebanon
after having come to attend Elder Isaac Anstatt's funeral and staying a week to transact
other business.
Hugo and his brother, Albert, are spraying fruit trees; Herbert Hall, a hired hand, is
trimming grapevines; Joe, another hired hand, is cleaning up the "garden plot";
Sister Mary Dahm and the girls are cleaning the attic rooms; Sister Grace Dahm is
cleaning the weave shop.
6 Apr Sister Deborah Knight, 72 yrs old, has had charge of poultry for last 5 years and gets
38-46 eggsaday (Rhode Island Reds)
7 Apr Hugo and hired men hauling cement from Albany for Elder Josiah's new barn foundation
at CF, barn having been set on fire and burned with horses, cows, etc. last December.
8 Apr Hired new man, George Meade, to take care of new horses. Now have 5 hired hands

The frogs are singing their glad summer song over at the pond.
"Uh! Uh! sang the little Mr. Bull Frog.
Uh I Uh! sang the lady froggy too
Then they both sang together
And their eyes went goo, goo, goo."
Do not feel too extra. "These colds hang on like a sock to a sore shin."
12 Apr Get workman b fix their dining room wall . "Itis a metal composition or material,
inexpensive, looks well and after it is placed and nailed on, itis then painted any
color you wish. "
13 Apr Eldress Anna brought girlnamed Helen Hubbard, 14 years old. Sarah Neal had brought
her to Albany from Mt. Lebanon as Emma Neal wanted Eldress Anna "to take her and
try her."
14 Apr Elder Josiah and Brother Alex Pettiff from Mt. Lebanon here for dinner. "After dinner
all were called into the dining room and asked if allwere in union with Eldress Anna
being put in as Trustee with Elder Josiah and we all were and there it ended."
17 Apr "A young lady in a large auto brought some Catholic sisters out for a ride and wanted
some silk portieres made all woven, which Grace expects to do."
20 Apr George (Duncan) and Grace (Dahm) whom Anna G. calls "Gen. Stonewall Jackson"
have put the last coat of paint on the dining room walls*
21 Apr "Two ladies, 3 dogs and one man came in an auto to see ifthey could buy some furniture."
23 Apr "Grand Union Tea Co. wagon with groceries called. Eldress Annie and Frieda bought
some things of him. The things he sells are allfirst class. "
24 Apr Put new oilcloth in dining room and girls all help. Also put new rubber boots on chairs
and black enamelled stovepipes. Oil cloth, dishes and wall paint all harmonize.
Geo. Warner came in his new truck to deliverweek's supplies.
25 Apr Florence Bourne had gone to Albany to see Dr. Stlllman on April 16th. This day she did
not go on a walk with the other girls as she "has not been feeling well for some time."
26 Apr Anna G, is taken violently sick^vith what she callsjccuteind/gest/on. Dr. Cbthridge seems
to think there are symptoms of typhoid fever, comes every day, and on May 3d thinks she
should have an R.N. to take care of her - cheaper than the hospital.
