30 May Esther Scott died last night. Dr. Lothridge was there and his wife laid Esther out. Esther
had picked out the songs she wanted sunftat her, funeraland the dress she will be laid out in.
Ella Benedict was at the NF to help Ella^unn^ the last of Esther's sickness. Elnora
DeGraw justliving and that is all;expect to hear she is gone any time. As Esther was
not embalmed, funeral will be tomorrow.
Eldress Anna and Elder Josiah leave for Enfield, Conn, for 8-10 days.
2 June Phone before breakfast that Elnora DeGraw has died. Funeral Sunday.
4 June Practiced funeral songs at 10:30 a.m. Funeral at 2:30, sung a song at grave, home by 4.

7 June Maggie is making new auto caps, a new style sent her from Hancock Shakers, very nice too.
12 June Eldress Anna went to Charley Smith's wholesale grocer in Schenectady. Brought home for
pies 4 gal. huckleberries, 4 gal. apples, 4 gal. raspberries, 12 qts. peaches, (all canned),
and 12 pkgs. None Such mincemeat. *^
^At Church Family Angeline Cox bitten on leg and arm by Libble DeLong's dog. Dr.
Lothridge had her taken to Samaritan Hospital. Elder Josiah had told Libble to keep dog
shut up (as ithad bitten several other people less severely) but Libble didn't; now they
shotthe dog.
13 June Elder Josiah and Eldress Anna phoned and asked to come to hospital in Troy. No one from
CF had been to see Angeline except Josephine HoSt who offered to go to hospital with her.
"Angeline said she was the only Christian on the place up there. She wanted some clothes
from bw home and to tell the Trustees it would be necessary for her to stay 8-10 days."
"Another ha big hospital billfor Elder Josiah to pay, all unnecessary ifthere was any
order or obedience but Libby and Eldress Mary (Nelson)'s sister from outside, Mrs. Sam
Fellows, just simply run the place up there." .
114 June Eldress Anna, Julia, Victoria and Josephine Ho$t in auto toTroy to see Angeline. No
one from ChF to see her yet.
16 June Maggie & Ella Myer to Troy to see Angeline, still no one from ChF.
19 June Hugo took Eldress Anna and Ella Benedict of ChF to see Angeline. "Her foot is in compress
and quite sort* her hand and arm dark, and her nervous system rather shattered."
Eldress Mary Nelson and Libbie DeLong have never been to see Angeline but have gone to
Schenectady to see Mr. & Mrs. Sam Fellows and spend the day..
22 June Got 10 barrels of flour from Geo. Warner - $72.50.
Eldress Mary went to see Angeline.
23 June "Have received several grand compliments from different outsiderslately on my baking -
my bread, pie and cake - but itdid not swell my head one bit. That gift, I know is
inherited b& for no one could beat my mother in dom#estic work."
24 June School picnic supper - 15 young ladies including Miss Leary, the teacher. "1 provided
two large layer chocolate cakes and 2 large loaves of bread for sandwiches, Mary made
chocolate ice cream and lemon sherbet. They had oranges, bananas, candy & tea, salmon
and ham sandwiches,
26 June Three girls cleaning bedbugs in hired men's house; also had a time of itin George's room.
28 June Went to see Angeline - Eldress Anna took strawberries, A.G. a bouquet of roses.
She will come home soon.
30 June Eldress Anna finished 20 little satin dolldresses forstore.
2 July After dinner, Hugo took Eldress Anna, George and Elder Josiah in auto to Troy to bring
Sun. Angeline home. (Was there 20 days.)
3 July Mrs. Gazely and Mrs. Mary Rochester and her maid motored ouf from Albany to stay over
the 4th of July. Mrs. Gazely's chauffeur returned to town*
