11 Apr Eld. Anna quite sick with worry and sick at stomach. ^

12 Apr Mary Dahm operated on at Ellis Hospital fordouble hernia. Eld Anna & Grace there.
"This Is 6th hospital operation for Mary, 4 within last 9 years. 1st was lower jaw, 2d
her foot,/ 3d appendicitis/ 4th for small breast cancer, 5th opening of abdomen for
trouble caused by fall out of a cherry tree, 6th double hernia, besides going continually
to specialists about her throat, eyes, wsts. Will be 36 years old in August."

14 Apr Eleanor cleaned Maggie's room as she is expected home tomorrow. Has been in Albany
3 weeks & 5 days and on sick I ist
11 weeks.

15 Apr Have been washing & ironing every other week; will now do so every week during summer,
Maggie feels "she is just alittle mite better."

17 Apr Deborah in great pain with leg.

20 Apr Meeting at home, North Family & Eld. Josiah here, Caroline & Lucy to meeting.
Easter Eld. Anna gave us each an ornamental Easter egg, bird setting on her next with 2 little
birds in it. Joanna went to meeting and spole and everyone spoke or started a song.
Had eggs and peabhes for breakfast; asparagus, scrambled eggs, shrimp salad & pineapple
-$or dinner; cake, cheese, eggs, oranges and bananas for supper.

Hamilton DeGraw and Elder Josiah usually at South Family every Sunday for dinner -
Anna only notes when they don't come.

21 Apr Eld Anna, Freida & Pauline rakirg dooryard all a.m.

22 Apr Eld Anna, Eld Caroline & Lucy to Troy by auto to visit Lucy's friend, Mrs. Clark, and
brought her back for a visit.

25 Apr Eld. Anna and I auto to Schenectady to see Mary (inhospital). Took her ice cream,
oranges, lemons and cookies.

27 Apr Grace took rug she wove forElla Benedict to her and put 3 others in shop to be sold.
"Maggie complains bitterly, is very rhisderableindeed."
Eld Anna and Eld Josiah go to Hancock for funeral of Eld Joseph Holden, head ministry
brother.

29 Apr Mary Dctrncomes home from hospital, brought by Eld Anna & Eld Caroline.

30 Apr Deborah's leg bad - "sore is eating right in,gets larger all the time. "

1 May Eld Caroline & Lucy cleaning attic at their dwelling. (Everyone is spring cleaning shops,
dwelling rooms, attics, yarn storage rooms, etc.)

2 May Farmerettes arrive at West Family for summer.

6 May 1 3 large loaves bread out of oven by; 8:30 a .m.
