11 Apr No meeting. Jennie Wells & Esther Relyea (who is visiting NFfolks) go to church in Albany.

18 Apr Dr. Lothridge here to see Joanna "who seems to be gradually getting ready to leave us."

25 Apr Had meeting. All went but George, Byron, Joanna, Ella & aged people.

28 Apr Maggie stayed with Joanna all night & Ella went to rest. Eld Anna, Mary, Freida, Maggie
& girls scraping paper from walls and all 3 halls ofdwelling house. Has been on since 1907.

29 Apr Eld Anna & girls cleaning sisters'shop attic. :



30 Apr Eld Anna, Susan & girls dyeing a lot of old sheets differentcolors forrag rugs.
Ella Winship, Jennie Wells, Byron & Marguerite went to N .F. and dug up shrubs, bushes
& plants & plhced them in SF dooryard. "Joanna set up awhile this a.m. and seemed a little
wee bit better but she can never get well now. "

7 May Eld Caroline stayed with Joanna all night. Slowly going. Eld Anna, Freida & girls
cleaning the men's house.

9 May No meeting as Joanna is unconscious & dying. Jennie Wells stayed with her lastnight.
Sun. Maggie has muscular rheumatism in.^her arms and feet. Jennie Wells & Ella Myer (Joanna's
natural daughter) staying with Joanna tonight.

10 May Deborah Knight goes to ChFxs^crpiKNX^x to spend day & celebrate Harriet Jones' birthday.
Deborah is 77, Harriet 8'. Joanna Myer died at 3:30 p.m., aged 78.

11 May Eld Anna & Ella Myer to Albany at 8 a .m . for flowers.

12 May Men dug the grave, funeral at 2 p.m. Maggie & Eld Caroline not able to attend. Hugo
took family in auto truck tocemetery and they sang "My weary heart hath found a resting
place" at the grave.

28 May Chas. Enslow, who had worked there about 3 years, discharged by Hugo forgetting "too
familiar" with 2 of their girls,Marie Mayer, /21 yrs. & Susan Brooks, 20 yrs. "The
girls were chasing after him at night, writing notes & accepting boxes of candy from him. "

30 May Jennie Wells goes intobakeroom and 1 come out afterbaking alone 15 months for 30-33
people .

1 June Mrs. Berns, Marie Mayer's aunt, comes from Bridgeport Ct . to take Marie away "for her
bad conduct with Chas. Enslow."

4 June Uncle Sam & Uncle John Martin, uncles of Brooks girls,here to take Susan away for her
bad conduct with Chas. Enslow. This is 4 hired men sent away on account of Susan &
Marie at different times and Hugo got tired of it & so did the whole family.

5 June Eld Anna packing Susan's clothes to be sent her.

6 June Mary Da"m packing Marie's clothes tobe sent her.
