14 June Thieves tried to break in chicken house lastnight but the dogs chased them away.

15 June Eld Caroline & Lucy take Lucy's dog to Dr Kelley to have hair cut & nails clipped.

17 June Eld Anna & Maria to Albany to get suppl ies for schoolpicnic tomorrow. Viola Cross,
having taken State Regents exams, graduated in exercises at Latham - most of family went.
She received "high praises" from Supt. of Schools, Warren Rafcliff.

20 June Meeting. All there but Maggie & El. Caroline.

22 June Eld Josiah taken suddenly ill with indigestion. Dr. Lothridge & Dr. Strong both attending
him, Geo. Duncan went to stay allnight with him.

29 June Eld Anna went to bank in Albany forEld Josiah.

1 July Ministry Eldresses, Catherine Allen & Sarah Berger, come for a visit.

4 July 50 for picnic. Eld. Josiah & 5 from ChF and friends.

6 July Lucy had 10 teeth pulled in Albany "and come home more dead than a I ive. "
Maggie Caldwell gives up canning sauces because of illhealth by request of her M.D.
Eld Anna & Eld Caroline takes over.

7 July Eld Anna & Caroline to Albany to get new stove for preserving fruits.

9 July Eld Caroline made 75 glasses jelly& canned 20 qts. currants,
"Maggie Caldwell rode up to ChF this forenoon to call upon the Ministry Sisters and have
a confidential talk with them. Let us hope it w i l l
prove of enormous benefit to Sister
Marguerite."

July }1 Meeting at ChF. All go but the aged, Eld Carol ine, Lucy & Maggie. "Lucy's mouth is
in a terrible sore condition. She is not able to be up at all."

14 July Eld Caroline, Lucy & Cleanor canning currants. Ministry go home.
Had sent for 51 pheasant eggs - 36 hatched, old hen killed 5, & an animal killed the rest.

17 July Mr. &Mrs. Spring, Mr. Hisada a Japanese merchant, & Capt. A. L. BRYan (of NY 27th
Divn.) & Mr. Spring's chauffeur here to dinner & supper. Paid $1 each for each meal.
Bought up old furniture at NF and SF, eb old blankets, silk Shaker kerchiefs & linen sheets,
Were at Mt. Lebanon yesterday. All very wealthy.

24 July Maggie taking electric treatments from Dr. Bartlettin Albany, 3 times a week.

26 July Ella Winship fell off Sisters Shop porch, hurt knee, very gadly bruised all over, broke
her glasses.
