27 Apr. Cottage in woods at Chh torn down and sold for $50.

31 Apr. All hands clean the sauce room . Jennie falls and hurts her arm. Dr. Gifford here
i/and puts it in splints.

2 Hugo takes El . Anna, El .Ella and Jennie to Albany. Jennie who has cracked the
v/elbow joint and arm is put in a cast,home at noon.

8 June Mary, Paul ine, Martha and Tory to Albany for shoes, etc. (1stmention of Martha)

9 June Elders Anna, Ella and Caroline to Albany to sign paper for Power Co. 18 acres
are sold to them for $3600.

13 June Glorious day but so dense with smoke in the atmosphere from forest fires that the
sun is nearly obscured.

14 June Lawyer Stebbins here, El . Anna & Carol ine go over to the Chh in his carfor
elders' signatures.

22 JuneE1 "t\ Anna & Carol ine to Albany, meet El . Walter, talkover Chh property from 1:30
to late dinner. El . Waltergoes on to Kentucky.

23 June Install a radioin the Sisters'Shop.

24 June Jennie is takento Albany and cast removed from her arm.

4 July Picnic in p. m . Dr. Sti 1 1 man & party, Mr.
L incoln & lady & others, Eda & Mrs.
Hirshberg. Supper served in boxes. Fireworks & children go to Albany.

5 July Ten of younger set go to Ringling circus at night, home at midnight.

8 July Ministry appoint Rosetta for trustee,"it is only a nominal affair or shaml ike."

21 July "After supper Mrs. Groff leaves Jennie to paddle her own canoe . Family are pleased
/to see her go. Has served Jennie since the middle of last winter. "

4 Aug. Mrs. Schenk goes into the shadow of death for a sixthchild. Dr. L. in attendance
until midnight.

9 Aug. Pauline makes dresses for Martha.

22 Aug. Caroline gets on the floorto play with Luckie Boy (dog), he jumps and bites her
arm. Dr. Gifford comes and cauterizes it. Mary cares for her. No sleep for
her or me tonight.

23 Aug. Hugo takes Luckie Boy to Humane Society. Such a sad doggie, 1 yr. 1 mon & 23 days
old.
