22 Jan. Byron and Lucy over to the Shaker Farm. Children due today--21 . All but 2 go to
school.
27 Jan. j/Wonderful day, cloudless and still .The fl iers are oftenin the sky.
29 Jan. Caroline and Lucy to Albany; get and give the monthly money.
5 Feb. Dr. Doescher comes out to see El. Anna . Hugo brings him here and takes him back. $10.
6 Feb. /Mary to Dr. Bedell about her eyes. $15 so far for3 visits.
8 Feb. ]/N\enand boys from Preventorium for candy. Invite us to the pictureshow when the
machine is boughtand placed. (Preventorium was former Shaker Trustees Office.)
9 Feb. /Jennie to the hospital about baking her anatomy or sections of it.
12 Feb. Party of six Sisters go overto the Chh farm to see moving picturesat 7:15, home at
Tues. 10:30. Frieda and I walk to the airport. It was very cold, saw the new hanger now
building.
13 Feb. Boys from the "Pre" come often for candy/ must pay for it. Our square piano is
offered to the Pre fortemporary use.
17 Feb. Frieda, Lucy/ Grace and Ella go to West Pittsfieldfor memorial service for Eldress
Caroline Helfrich. 92 years old.
19 Feb. Mary/ Jennie/ Essie/ Grace, Frieda, Lucy/ John and all the Strobels go over to
the movies. Not as good as last week. Home 9:30.
3 March El. Anna to dinner table at noon. Firsttime since Jan. 10.
10 March ^{-Hamilton tells us heis goingto Lebanon to live.
14 March -/Lady comes in a car and takes Hattie (Coburn) away to the hospital. -and home for
incurables.
16 March '/Ministry sisters and Lucy go over to the Pre and the yet unfinished Ann Lee Home
to look over the home.
Sun., 17 Sisters gather in fie reception room to sing with the Ministry.
