'Aug 12 Hugo took Maggie's things in truck to Mt. Lebanon - 2 largejfoid chests,1 large new
trunk bought for her, packing box fulland small workstand. She had 12 Shaker bonnets,
25 dresses, 24 pairs new hose, 10 pair good shoes, 50 new kerchiefs, 5 pairs new underwear.
Eld. Anna had been giving her $40-45 a month for over a year for doctor's treatments.
17 Aug All of us to ChF to peel tomatoes - 137 large baskets.
30 Aug Miss Kelly, the Red Cross nurse, took Martha Milander to hospital in Albany to have
tonsils and adenoids out.
31 Aug Martha brought home.

3 Sept Hugo took girls to Midway Park 0 Martha was sliding down a board shoot and her drawers
came unfastened and poor little thing took all the skin off her rump0 It was not so funny
for her. She had quite a patch of skin-rubbed off."
