Benjamin Bates came to live in our family.
In February they bought a mill from Kane//Cane/Hane and began to tear it down.
On March 21-22 they rafted timber down the river from Kane's place.

4 June Stephen went to Albany with a load of cradles, "Iwent to help raise the CF barn. "
15 June Elder Brother, Stephen and I went to the river to help build the mill.
20 June Brethren went to the river to work at the mill dam.
1 July "Brethren begin to spile the dam at the river."
1 Aug "I went to the CF to fit in sash in the Ministry Shop."
2 Aug Issachar began to work at the mill at the river.

18 Nov Brethren saw fire wood with the wind mill. Brethren at the river started the saw mill
and ran through a log last evening.
7 Dec A shoemaker came here to make shoes for the family.
13 Dec "Elder Brother and I went to see the stone quarry on Stickles farm."
