16 Jan The mill dam at the river broke last night and the brethren went to mend it.

8 Mar i'William Carter died in a.m. Elder Brother went to river to Inform the brethren and
sisters there. Funeral on 9th and some world's people attended,
12 Mar "We attended in the Meeting House/ had a comfortable meeting, went forth in the step
manner the new way."
21 Mar Hard NW wind, the wind mill goes well.
Some brethren sawing at the river nearly all the time.
12 Apr "I began to hew timber for a barn at the river."

22 May "Elder Ebenezer and Brother Rufus came and told us that the S, Order (2nd ?) would
not assemble with us at the Meeting House any more."

/Thomas Prentice, Oliver's father, came here from the Ohio.
At 2 p.m. the family assembled to celebrate the anniversay of Mother's arrival in
America.
Luther, Ann and Pamella went over the river at Bath after roots and herbs.

The hop kiln took fire and burned down.

27-28 Nov Brethren went to open a stone quarry on Stickles farm.
1 Dec An Irish blacksmith here and began work.
7 Dec Thanksgiving. We attended meeting at 9:30, "then the youngerly part that was brought
to the gospel by their parents came to give thanks to their parents for bringing them
to the gospel. "
