22 Dec Anton (Flicker) and Mathew (Messner) begin making
brooms.
31 Dec Adda Harvey sent back to her father.

6 Feb Porter Sterns came here to live. He left the SF about
2 months ago.
7 Feb A youngfewede at SF as brother has become insane.
14 Feb Porter Sterns released from stock; hired man takes
them.
19 Feb Jacob Bitsch, our hired man on the Oliver place, shot
2 of his fingers so that they had to be taken off.
20 Feb James Russell came from Canterbury on Feb. 10th to
teach them singing and music. Stays until Mar. 18.
Every night except Sat. and Sun. all the families meet
at CF Stone Shop for singing. The CF bought an organ
for $115, the first one among the Believers at Water-
vliet; then SF bought one for $175.
31 Feb Paid last $2000 on Oliver place.
5 Apr Sing at CF. Elder Albert'"Lomas "who had been to Phila-
delphia, gave us quite an account of the sisters there;
also of their house, rent, meeting zeal, etc."
9 Apr Jacob Bitsch and Peter Sutheimer move out of the Oliver
place; John Schairer and John Frank move in.
