9 Nov During summer, Aaron Sonburg is busy plowing, harves-
ting, etc. Now he goes into the shoe shop again.
10 Nov Isaac goes to Amsterdam for Louise Morris" clothes.
12 Nov "I lay up 2 cider cheeses. Make cider every day."
27 Nov Isaac bought 3 tons broom corn at 8 3/4 cents per Ib.
9 Dec Bought thrashing machine with wheels (Westinghouse)
for $260 cash in Schenectady.
19 Dec "We try to thrash but the horses said nay so we could
not thrash."
21 Dec Same thing happened. Horses would not work.

23 Dec "We attached 6 horses to the old ring power and n$w
thrashed. Made it go nicely. Thrashed and cleaned
140 bu. oats.
Jeremiah Lowe came top ee the new thrashed, fell thru
trap door and hurt badly. ("?l*"y*~ 27 Dec Francis Smith came here for a privilege.
30 Dec George Freeman laid up 10 days with neuralgia.

Francis Smith started for Lebanon to beg the ministry
to let h im live here.

6 Feb Big fire at Lebanon CF - dwelling, sisters shop, wood
house, ministry shop, ox barn, wagon house.
25 Feb Homer Freeman (George's oldest son) came today to stay
so the whole family is here."
1 Mar Lebanon CF herbhouse and contents burned. 3d fire in
6 months - total loss $150,000. Have now arrested one
of their hired men on suspicion of arson.
