9 Mar Elder Augustus very sick. Not to meeting.
10 Mar Bidder Augustus goes to 2d House. Call Dr. Wade to see
him.
16 Mar Dr. Wade to see Elder A. "Has lung fever."

1 Apr Funeral at SF of Elizabeth Barker.
6 Apr Elder Augustus died at 5:30 a.m. "Our cup of sorrow
is full to running over but we must be resigned to our
loss. He has been a pillar and a faithful toiler in
Zion for 48 years. May his balessing rest upon us in
our prayer."
7 Apr "Perform our last sad duties to the remains of Elder
Augustus. Well done, good and faithful soul."
