8 Oct. Elder Augustus being short of hired help asks the youth girls to help pick up
potatoes this afternoon. Mary Ann Mathews, Annie Wolf, Lucy Werner and
* Mary Drum go out and help him.
11 Oct. Peter S. takes Eldress Alvira, Rachel & 9 of the youth girls out for a ride to
Albany. Eldress was going to take night boat to N ,Y. and go on to Philadelphia.
12 Oct. 'PeterSmith got drunk yesterday, came home, left Rachel and the young folks
in Albany. One of the Eastman men from West Albany brought them home at
noon today, "

5 Nov. Sarah Neal here from 2d Order to get pur baker to make some bread for her
out of 2d Order flour. "Some say the flour Is good, others call itpoor."
8 Nov. Th. Clarissa Shufelt here from South Family to get a couple of loaves of bread;
their oven out of repair.
9 Nov. Fri. South Family folks have their bread made and baked here.. Rachel Webb came
up and helped.
12 Nov. Mo. Efdress Rosetta and Sister Anna Case here yesterday afternoon to see about their
folks baking here, Rachel Webb came up after breakfast to assistAgnes with
the bread. Isaac brought out 8 doz, shirts today.

14 Dec. Elder Augustus goes to Albany to pick up a Beatty organ sent from Washington,
and bring out Henry Smith from Oneonta to set itup.
19 Dec, Elder Augustus and Herman go to Knowersville after Sarah Drumm. "She wants
to come back here to live."
31 Dec. Wm. Johnson here from the Church Family to cut out some garments for the
brethren.
