30 June Making shirts and finish making buttonholes on collars.
1 July Wed. Aurella White goes to North Family.
10 July Finish the shirts.
19 July Sun. Had "rather short" meeting in meeting house In morning. "In afternoon went
in the north woods, had meeting and a very good one."

23 July Eldress Alvira went to Green Island to see about a couple of little girlsthey
have been requested to take.
26 July Sun. A brother of the stepmother of the two Green Island girls brought them - Ida
and May Weingarten, 11 and 9 years old.
4 Aug. Gen Grant's body brought from Mt. MacGregor to Albany, to lie in state
in Capitol.
13 Aug. Take a girl named Lulu Soper, 10 yrs. old, from West Troy, by mother's request
2 Sept. Eldress Alvira and Rachel go to Troy to see some children they have been
requested to take.
7 Sept. Take 3 girls from Troy,-- Lillie Cook, Louisa & Flora Allen, 11 &9 yrs.
24 Sept. Lillie's and Allen girls'mothers came to see them. A Mrs. Fitzgerald
brought her niece, Fannie Edie, 10 yrs, old, to stay with the Shakers.
29 Sept. Put up 200 doz. cans tomatoes.

20 Nov. Josiah Barker came to make arrangements for getting schoolhouse cleaned. He
will be teaching it. (Boys' school)
23 Nov. Some of Family go to help clean schoolhouse.
24 Nov. Pick a turkey and 12 fowls.
26 Nov. Thanksgiving. Put down new Brussels carpet in sisters front room.
25 Dec. Christmas. Take "our 10 little girls"
to Church Family to spend afternoon
with the Church girls.
28 Dec. Butcher 2 oxen, 1 cow and 1 bull.
29 Dec, Everyone busy with meat.
