Elder Isaac took Rachel, Almira, Hester, Clara Drumm, Lottie & Lucy Werner
to Albany to see bicentennial parade. He came home and after dinner took
carpenters and painters into Albany to celebrate bicentennial, getting home
about 1:30 a ,rn .
22 July Elder Isaac took another bunch in, got back 7-8 p.m.
30 July Severe thunder and lightning storm the greater part of the night - all very much
frightened and slept little. Barns of Dexter Miller, a neighbor, and of Mr. Van
Vranken in Morrisvillewere struck by lightning and burned down.

3 Aug. Salesman with lightning rods. Sisters entreatElder Isaac to put one on dwelling
and one on big barn.
4 Aug. Lightning rods installed.
16 Aug. Nancy Wicks taken quite sick.
19 Aug. Jennet Angus from Church Family to see Nancy.

8 Sept. Sister Rebecca and Hannah Jones from Philadelphia go to North Family to see
where Mother Ann Lee and first Believers settled.
10 Sept. Dr. Lothridge to see Nancy.

14 Sept. Lottie and Lucy Werner go to the world .
15 Sept. Clara Drum and her little daughter go to the world.
18 Sept, "A man here to take pictures on glass. Took several differentpictures of our
place." (This undoubtedly was James Irving of Troy.)
21 Sept. "Cleaning and picking up the old clothes and rags of those that have lately
lefthere."
22 Sept. Begin to board the hired men at the dwelling house.

13 Oct. Nancy Wicks recovered and goes to Church Family to visit today,
16 Oct. "A party of men from the vicinity around meet here today to discuss the subject
of a new road to run by our West Farm instead of the one now In use."

7 Nov. The first snow
15 Nov. Move work things from SistersShop to South Room in Dwelling House, under
the Meeting Room.
17 Nov. Eldress Emily Smith and Clarissa Jacobs from Lebanon 2d Family "to look at (

some cloaks we have on hand. They agree to take 10 cloaks to see to parties
outside for us. "
