1 April Sun Meeting at Church in a.m. In p.m. al! the Elders, Deacons & Trustees from
I all the families meet at Church Meeting Room with Ministry to discuss school
affairs.
10 Apr. Elder Isaac takes Elder Giles and EldressHarriet to Brunswick Hotel in Albany
to meet some of the Lebanon and Hancock folks.
18 Apr. We learn that Ex-Senator Roscoe Conkling died at his home today in N.Y.
from effects of a cold contracted during the great blizzard of March.
30 Apr. William Martin, a German, here to ask to have his daughter taken.

1 May According to agreement. Elder Isaac goes to Albany to meet William Martin
but comes home without him.
3 May Eldress Alvira returns from Philadelphia, brings William Ebinger, a German,
and his two children, Willie aged 6, and Lina aged 5.
4 May Elder Isaac goes to New Baltimore to see if he can find out anything of the man
who called himself William Martin. No one there knew of him - an imposter.
8 May Harriet and Evelyn clean the Shoe Shop. William Ebinger will occupy it and
make shoes.

7 June John Burke, one of Church Family hired men, went to North Family lastevening
to see his brother. When returning to Church Family between 7 and 8, he was
struck by lightning and killed only a few feet from the hired men's house.
25 Sept. Move things today, getting a room ready for Emma Caminade. She is getting
her things packed in Philadelphia ready to move here'.

v Oct. 3 Elder Isaac goes to Albany Depot to meet Emma Caminade, her little boy,
Frasier, and Alice Sharp, a colored sister from Philadelphia.
13 Oct. Sat. Annie Wack, a German woman, here from Troy with her husband and boy to
make a visit over Sabbath.
15 Oct. A woman here from Lansingburg with her I ittle girl,10 yrs. old, named Emily
Edwards, We take the girl.
16 Oct. Eldress Alvira goes to Troy with Annie Wack and her family to advise her what
things to bring, as they want to come here to I ive.
19 Oct. Awakened at 3 a.m. by cry of fire in Brethrens Brick Shop. Elder Isaac went
at once and burst open shoe shop, found iton fire, supposed to be caused by
William Ebinger's carelessness, either emptied his pipe or threw a lighted
match in wooden spitoon. Peter, who sleeps innext room, smelt the smoke
and alarmed Elder Isaac. The floor beneath the stove was burned through,
causing the stove to fallinto Charles' shop below, and burned a hole through
that floor. Finally subdued the fire--It wasj^onfined to those two shops, Peter's
shop and the tailor's shop below injured with water.
20 Oct. Elder Isaac goes to Troy and brings out Wack family and their things--Michael/
Annie and Richard.
27 Oct. Michael Wack and son Richard, 8 yrs. old, move in front room of house, Annie
Wack moves into Sisters front chamber.
11 Nov. Sun. "The day is devoted ro the yearly opening. "
17 Nov. Elder Isaac brought home a new engine to run the feed cutter.

5 Dec. Elder Isaac and men building an engine house near cow barn. Intends to cut
straw and feed and warm the water for the cattle to drink.
8 Dec. Sat, Read "Mother's Sayings" this evening.
