4 July Elder Isaac goes down to Church Family and takes EldressHarriet and group of
sisters from Canterbury out for a ride around our farms. They get drenched by
heavy shower.
25 July "Hester Crandall had her carpet taken up. (Visitors)Calvin and Catherine
Reynolds beat the carpet, helped her clean her room and put her carpet down
for her."
26 July Calvin and Catherine take up carpet in Eldress Alvira's room, beat it, helped
her clean her room and put carpet back down.

8 Sept. "Some mediums at Church Family from New York. We go down this afternoon
to a seance held in Church's meeting room,"
Sept. .19 Elder Isaac takes Eldress Alvira, Rachel and Agnes to the State fair.
25 Sept. Hester and Rachel go to Whitneys (In Albany) to get shoes.

3 Oct. Boys' school commencing, Sarah A. Mayell, teacher.
8 Oct. "Tomatoes that we put up spoiling and have to be cooked over. "
13 Oct. "Our old horse Samrny, 30 years old, died of old age,"
26 Oct. Elder Isaac goes to Albany to meet Paul Breitkrauz, a young German brother
from 2d Family Mt. Lebanon. Has lived there the past two years, chooses now
to come and live here in Elder Isaac's family. He goes in front room to live
with William Ebinger.
30 Oct. Lillie Cook's mother and sister here, she goes away with them to live in Troy.

20 Nov. "This has been a very rainy season. Rain allthrough the summer months and
fall. Ground fullof water. Some places much damage caused by floods."
1 Dec. Sun. This day devoted to yearly sacrifice.
8 Dec. Elder Isaac goes down to South Family to see the Elders and Ministry together
about money matters; our little girls go to South Family to sing.
18 Dec. Elder Isaac takes Ministry totrain station m Albany.
19 Dec. Elder Isaac takes Eldress Alvira and Rachel to .Albany.
20 Dec. Elder Isaac brings home a new cook stove for Cook Room.
21 Dec. Elder Isaac and men raise new ice house.

1 Jan. We have a little entertainment in Organ Room this evening, speak pieces
and sing.
2 Jan. Elder Isaactaken very sick today with influenza or la grippe, a fearful epidemic
that has been raging all over Europe for the pastfew months and is now making
headway in America.
4 Jan. Elder Isaacsome better.
6 Jan. Butcher 4 oxen. Weather more like April than January.
7 Jan. Cut fat and sausage meat today.
9 Jan. Grind sausage meat today - 375 Ibs.
