Dec.7 Elder Isaac takes Eldress Alvira and Rachel to Albany to have Rachel's hand
checked by Dr, Haile. While they are gone, Dr. Lothridge comes to see Rachel

25 Dec. Christmas. Fairand pleasant. Have morning meeting at home. In afternoon
the singers go to North Family and have singing meeting. "After dismissing
singing meeting, Elder Alexander called to order, and all united in a good
Shaker meeting. Almost all the grown people spoke their faith and feelings,
and encouraged the young people to be good."
26 Dec. Some colder and snows some . Butcher 4 cows and a 1 year old bulk William
Johnson here fixes the Youngs clock at the Office.
27 Dec. Quite mild today. Cut sausage meat, 250weight.
28 Dec. Weather quite mild. Cut fat today.
29 Dec. Fair and mild. Finish up the butchering today.
30 Dec. Cold but fair.
31 Dec. Sun. Snowed this morning, so we stayed at home all day. The South go North to sing.
