19 Sept Have our first meeting in our new meeting house at home. Our number
is small but the feeling is strong. It is just six months since
we had a meeting in the old one. We sung four hymns. Harmony of
Angels reigns in the forenoon.

40 7 Oct Picked corn & tomatoes. Eldress Alvira to Albany to bring out Mary
Kenned^y from Phila.
41 16 ffct Gather apples. Sow last lot of rye. We have a jury meet at our
office to change the road that goes back of our gravel hill to Nis-
kayuna. The residents want it changed farther west, thus running
only a few rods from their houses; also making it a better & more
direct road to Niskayuna. It is to start near Hall Old Place, run N
by Cross and our W. Farm fronr^l.Lansing|to Denison's farm, from there
to the Troy-Schdy Turnpike. It is agreed to be necessary and the
best road.
42 26 Oct Gather turnips. Marmennedy returns to Phila.
1 Nov Level dooryard. Lay walk. Sisters label tomatoes.
43 15 Nov Take off sweet corn. Eldresses move into their new shop in the T
part of dwelling house.
16 Nov Commissioners lay out the new road. Sisters busy cleaning house
and moving.
17 Nov Level south pasture. Levi Shaw here.
18 Nov Second Order's farmhouse unroofed by the wind. Oil harness. Take
Br. Levi to depot.
44 2 Dec Surveyors out to survey Peter's woods which we intend to sell.
Cold and windy.
7 Dec ^osiah Barker moved from the 2d Order to the ChF.to be 2d elder,
Charles Brackett first.
10 Dec Exchange our endless chain for a sweep power - Westinghouse.& Co.
45 25 Dec Christmas. Have meeting at home and a pleasant and sociable evening.
29 Dec Cut wood. Chauncy Miller returns from Illinois at 3 pm. This has
been a busy year for us. The taking down and building up the T part
of the dwelling house kept us very busy and also the sisters had a
hard time of it as the house was topsy-turvy all summer. They had
to do the best they could, but masons and painters were all fed at
the house. Only the farmhands boarded at the Office. All are glad
to once more get the house in order.

16 Feb Meeting at home. Sing afternoon. Elder Charles & Josiah here to
sing a new song of which we have many.
