13 Oct Dig potatoes. Michael & his wife from Troy here to see about joining.

80 20 Oct Get in beets. Go to Troy to bring Michael Wacks, his wife and boy to live with us.

81 1 Nov Sisterslabel. Men draw stalks. I start for NY.

20 Nov Trade off a horse power w/ Westinghouse for a 4-horse engine.

22 Nov Draw bran from Schdy. Sylvester Prentice of the ChF died at 3 p.m. This is the
last of the Prentices.

82 24 Nov Finished drawing manure from the woods. Charles Pretch died at 8:30 am of dropsy
and old age. We attend Br. Sylvester's funeral at 2 pm,

25 Nov Br. Charles' funeral was held at 2 pm today. Snows.

6 Dec Finish threshing oats. Rachel Webb of SF died at 10 pm.

19 Feb "We receive the sad news that Amanda McKer, one of the sisters in Phila. died.
She was the mainspring in the temporal.

9 Mar Anna Wack leaves, after having wintered with us.

87 19 Mar ^Albert Lomas died last night 2 pm.

24 Mar *Attend Albert Lomas1 funeral.

29 Mar Michael Whack goes to his wife. So it goes. Kept him thru the winter. Cut feed.

88 10 Apr Emma & her daughter go back to Phila. Thus ends the two families - all trouble -
no Shakers.

89 14 May Plow. Aurilla White died lastnight at 12 pm.

94 30 Aug Plow an dig potatoes. Rachel McDonald returns home, having been w/fh her brother
to the Springs forhealth.

95 14 Sep Draw cans from Albany.
