116 1 Nov "6eo. Price, NF, died at 9a.m.

118 21 Dec Meeting ChF. Elder Giles very sick. I stayed with him all day & night.

22 Dec Cut feed. I stay with Elder Giles til his death.

27 Dec Elder Giles died at 1:40 pm. I helped lay him out & then start for New Lebanon
to letthem know about his death & arrange for funeral.

119 28 Dec I started from Hancock for Lebanon* Took 4 yoke oxen to break road. I followed
with a horse. Snows & blows. After notifying the church elders, I return to
Hancock & get as far as Albany.

29 Dec I arrivehome 9 a.m. 12 brethren & sisters came from Mt. Lebanon to attend the
funeral.

30 Ded Attend Elder Giles1 funeral at 9 a.m. 12 from Lebanon & 8 from Hancock & Enfield
were present. A solemn time.

31 Dec Draw ice. Cold.
