26 Mar Sisters finish tow - 308 Ibs. "There has also been spun for
mops yarn for 3 doz. and 10 runs forcarpet yarn.

Deacons have bought Jacob Groat's farm - 80 acres, together with
his part of the house which he & his brother occupied, $635 or
$6350, to be paid quarterly.

29 Mar Elder Bro. moving scuttle door from north to south side of
dwelling house to make room for belfry.

3 Apr "Thisla.m. is spent by ma.ny in cleaning. This p.m. there was 12
instruments in company with the beloved Ministry & Elders. They
took waterffrom the Saviour's Fountain and sprinkled it thru the

25 Apr The brethren help raise the belfry on top of first house. Get
it up to ring for supper.
26 (Fri ."The brethren were al I warned by Elder Brother in meeting last
night to appear this a.m. to splitting & piling wood to the
washhouse woodhouse. They accordingly obeyed."
Joseph Mul ly came to see his daughter Sal ly & Jeremiah.
Harriet & Anna Slater's aunt & their schoolmaster came to see
them .
29 Apr "Children had spoon cakes for supper. Lucy F. & myself fried
them. "
30 Apr The sisters have a bee, raking around the mill & pond. After
supper the brethren turn out too.
5 May "The whole of the CF attenrfmeet i ng in the Meeting House with
the Ohio Ministry, who receive much love & blessing from all
the hos'4' of heaven. We al I go to the Centner where we have a
beautiful & heavenly feast of divine things from the eternal
world. We also have a short meeting at the Holy Saviour Fountain
in the Center of the dooryard, where Elder Brother John brings us a large
store of lovejfrom the Holy Mount."

15 May One brother & 2 sisters went to river "after birch bark for
coloring."
Elder Bro Freegift (accompanied by David Miller) went to doctor
in Albany "to have them cut something that was thought to be a
cancer" out of his eye.

19 Jul This week., Elder Calvin Bates at SF resigned his place and moved
to the NF and Issachar became elder and Richard Dean lives with
him.

9 Aug "Went after reed root for tea."

16 Aug "I have made 1 doz. of draw baskets this week."

21 Aug "After supper some of the boys were in the garden shed up garret
when by a misstep Alexander Brown fell thru the trapdoor and
broke his neck. He was taken fo(the 2d House where he was taken
care of. He only lived 15-20 minutes, then expired."

4 Sep "I have made 2% doz. draw baskets and 6 covered work baskets
for sale."
